Coquitlam History
Pipeline Road is the arterial route that has connected Coquitlam City Centre to Northeast Coquitlam for decades. Upper Pipeline Road runs along the Coquitlam River. Decades-long sand and gravel extraction in the corridor; an active RC (radio-controlled) model aircraft field run by the West Coast Radio Control Aircraft Flyers since the early 1970s. Currently subject to a City of Coquitlam corridor study and David-to-Guildford upgrade project.

Pipeline Road residents and Northeast Coquitlam buyers should know the corridor is in active planning and upgrade. The historic RC airfield is part of the local landscape — for older Coquitlam residents who remember it, the airfield is a real childhood memory.
