What this school is best known for
Glenayre is dual-track — it runs both a standard K–5 English program AND SD43's Early French Immersion program for the Port Moody side of the district. Families applying for French Immersion through the SD43 Programs of Choice window (early January) target Glenayre for K entry from across Port Moody and adjacent Coquitlam pockets. The privately-operated Glenayre Montessori Centre also runs on the school grounds — a separate program, but worth knowing about for families researching options on this site.

Inside the catchment · housing read
The Glenayre catchment trades on French Immersion access more than on neighbourhood premium. Inside the residential catchment you're looking at established detached homes on quiet streets in southwest Port Moody, sharing a boundary with Burnaby and the Coquitlam College Park pocket. FI-targeting families across Port Moody and Coquitlam often apply for Glenayre seats from outside the catchment via Programs of Choice — the seat travels with the application, not the address.

“After searching for several years, I knew exactly what I was looking for—and Craig delivered. We viewed a handful of properties, and the home he ultimately found was exactly what I had been searching for. I couldn't believe how quickly he nailed it.”Warren Chu
“We had a fantastic experience working with Craig, who was recommended by a friend. He patiently guided us through the process to purchase our family forever home in Vancouver, explaining all the steps and answering all of our many questions. He was always responsive and available whenever we needed him and always felt like he wanted the absolute best for us.”Susie N
“One of the sales was my Mom’s home. She is 97 and so this was a very emotional issue to be leaving her beloved home of so many years… Craig was extremely patient in explaining the market and was very sensitive to her concerns. We can’t thank him enough for his empathy and understanding in working with an elderly person through a difficult time in a very caring manor!”Ann English
Thinking about the move, not just the school?
If you're weighing a move into this catchment, the hard part usually isn't the school — it's the timing and the tax math: when to sell your current home, how the property-transfer-tax works on the next one, and how to buy into the right catchment without overpaying. That's the work I focus on across the Tri-Cities. Start with the move-up guide, then get a no-obligation read on what your current home could sell for today.
